After the
body search 2012.01.12
Ink on paper
The police
cars from the District Court and District Prosecutor will normally send inmates
to the prison in the middle of the night.
The body
search will be carried out after the paper work has been completed. Even on a
cold day, an inmate has to strip off completely.
Subsequently,
he will be given a jacket and a pair of pants, usually too big, whereby the
inmate has to roll up the sleeves and pants and walk bare feet on the cold
floor to the cell. If he is lucky, he will get a pair of blue-white colour
slippers.
The
clothing given are usually old dirty clothes that have been worn by many
inmates. The inmate will normally be given a blanket but no pillow. It is a
normal scene when the inmate walks into the cell and causes a stir, as the
clothes and the blanket stink.
