He takes a few shallow bows, handing me his identification, and asks “Sir, I need to use a pair of scissors.”
I pull open the drawer, fumble a while wh en a laborer assists me. His ID is taken in for exchange of the scissors. Borrowing a stool from the laborer, he starts his cutting next to me. Both he and I are paying close attention to our jobs - be it a needle, a pair of scissors or a cutter being handed to any inmate, we must watch every move closely.
他欠了欠身：「主管我要借剪刀。」隨手把識別證交給了我。
接拉開抽屜，在雜役的幫忙下我還找了會兒，遞出剪刀的同時，我收起識別證當抵押⋯⋯
他跟雜役借了板凳，在我身旁剪了起來，他很專注，我也是，再怎樣針剪刀具交給收容人用，我們都得清清楚楚地盯著⋯⋯
