There are five or six toilet bowls and a drain designed to be a urinary in the work yard that holds more than one hundred people. Imagine going to the toilet is not as easy as queuing up for public toilets. The prison is obliged to keep up its stature as an absolute control institution with a particular procedure. When one has to go, he takes his ID to the front and swap for a “toilet chip”. This step allows the inmate to know about the vacancies in advance and the guards to know who are using the toilet. It’s considered breaking the rule if one does not use a chip for toilet. This is so set! No matter how desperate one gets, he can not rush to the toilet right away. Count this a Taiwan-only prison culture!
百來個人的工場廁所裡一條龍式的小便池和5、6個馬桶，在這裡上廁所這可不像排隊上公廁這麼簡單，監所當然有特別的做法，不然就不叫全控機構了。
想上廁所得先來前面拿識別證換「如廁牌」，一來讓收容人清楚廁所還有沒有空位，二來讓我們管理員清楚廁所裡有哪些人。
沒拿牌子上廁所算是違規的行為，所以啦！再怎麼內急可不能直接往廁所衝，這也算是台灣監所特有的文化吧！
