Agave plants are grown to encompass the outside of the lofty prison walls, an instrumental design to prevent prison break, and inside the walls are all sorts of vegetable. Farming laborers, between ten to twenty people, work everyday on sunny or rainy days, not on public holidays and typhoon days. They repeat soil-turning, sowing, watering, weeding and harvesting. Contrary to those inmates working in the work yards, farmers get sun everyday -- so much sun that their skins have turned a glowing dark tan. When they look up, they see no ceilings but the blue sky between tall walls, which manifests their inmate identities nonetheless.

監獄高牆外種滿了防逃用的龍舌蘭，而挨著高牆內側則種滿了各式蔬菜，例假日和颱風之外的每天無論晴雨，這十幾二十個內農雜役不停重覆著翻土、播種、灌溉、施肥、除草和採收，他們和工場裡做手工的人犯不同的是每天都可以曬太陽，而且曬得皮膚烏黑發亮，抬頭看見的不是天花板，而是高牆與高牆之間的青空，但⋯⋯他們仍是不自由的囚者之身⋯⋯
