The construction of the expansion project is going on. The outer walls of the prison are taken down and replaced with gabions, barbed wires, fences and coated steel plates. The multiple layers of confinements make the prison an air-tight fortress. We happen to encounter a very warm winter this year. The inmates have kept violating rules under the influence of the ever-compressed space. Officers complain about almost everything and everywhere. We, working at the bottom level, have to shoulder the all-around tensions and endless chores, and pray that no blames will drop on our heads.

擴建持續進行中，監獄的外牆拆了，到處加裝的蛇籠刀網、圍籬及烤漆鋼板，層層戒備下把監獄內包得密不透風，今年冬天又有著盛夏的氣溫，讓收容人在生活空間一再壓縮下違規頻仍，長官走到哪裡打槍到哪裡，基層管理員們在無時無刻緊繃與忙不完的鳥事下，只能自求多福⋯⋯
