Old pillows, blankets and a straw mat are left at the prison gate, totally wet by the rain. Their owner left on bail yesterday, so they have become redundant. The valuable items have been handed over to the cellies. The old stock that no one desires is brought out of the ward.
One has to disown something in order to travel light and far. This applies to both inside and outside of the walls. Take care!
幾件舊枕頭、被子和草蓆被棄置在監獄門口，而大雨把它們淋得濕透了；它們的主人在昨天假釋離開，對他們來說這些寢具已是多餘，出門前也早將好用的交接給了牢友，帶出監的通常就是沒人要的舊貨了⋯⋯
牆裡牆外的世界都一樣，總得留下些什麼才能走得輕盈走得遠，珍重啊！
